These Crispy Parmesan Broccoli Bites are a delicious and healthy appetizer or snack, featuring tender broccoli florets coated in a flavorful almond flour and parmesan crust, then baked to golden perfection. Served with your choice of Yum Yum Sauce, Ranch Dressing, or Marinara Sauce, they are perfect for a crispy, low-carb treat that satisfies your savory cravings.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise (try my homemade recipe)
  • 1 ¼ cup blanched almond flour
  • 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For Serving

  • Yum Yum Sauce
  • Ranch Dressing
  • Marinara Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Breading: Set up two shallow bowls. In one bowl, place the mayonnaise. In the other, combine the almond flour, finely grated parmesan cheese, baking powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper, whisking them together until well mixed.
  3. Coat the Broccoli: Dip each broccoli floret first into the mayonnaise, ensuring an even coat, then roll it in the almond flour and parmesan mixture until fully coated in the breading.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated broccoli florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Use two baking sheets if necessary to avoid overcrowding, which can cause the broccoli to steam and prevent crispiness.
  5. Bake: Bake the broccoli bites for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the breading turns golden brown and crispy, and the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  6. Serve: Serve the crispy parmesan broccoli bites warm, alongside your choice of Yum Yum Sauce, Ranch Dressing, or Marinara Sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Using two baking sheets or spacing the florets well prevents steaming and ensures crispiness.
  • Blanched almond flour provides a low-carb alternative to traditional breadcrumbs.
  • These bites can be made ahead and reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
  • Customize your dipping sauces to add variety and flavor to the dish.
