Werewolf Kibble is a fun and delicious dessert snack mix combining chocolate, peanut butter, crunchy Cocoa Puffs cereal, pretzels, almonds, and festive red M&M’S candies. Coated in a smooth chocolate-peanut butter mixture and dusted with powdered sugar, this treat is perfect for parties or movie nights.

Ingredients

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Cereal Mixture

  • 4 cups Cocoa Puffs® cereal

Coating

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Mix-Ins

  • 10 oz peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup broken pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup almond slices (or almond slivers)
  • 1/2 cup red M&M’S® candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chocolate Mixture: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring thoroughly after each interval until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  2. Coat the Cereal: Measure 4 cups of Cocoa Puffs cereal into an extra-large bowl. Pour the warm chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the cereal and gently toss to coat all the pieces evenly without crushing them.
  3. Dust with Powdered Sugar: Pour 1 cup of powdered sugar into a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag. Add the coated cereal to the bag, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously until all the cereal pieces are covered in powdered sugar.
  4. Cool the Coated Cereal: Spread the powdered sugar-coated cereal onto a flat surface or baking sheet to cool and let the coating set properly.
  5. Combine Mix-Ins: In a large bowl, mix together the coated cereal, 10 oz peanut butter chips, 1 cup broken pretzel sticks, 1 cup almond slices, and 1/2 cup red M&M’S candies. Stir gently to combine all ingredients thoroughly for a balanced mix.

Notes

  • Use smooth peanut butter for an even melting texture in the chocolate mixture.
  • Be careful when shaking the bag with powdered sugar coated cereal to avoid crushing the cereal pieces.
  • This snack mix can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute almond slices with sunflower seeds and omit peanut butter chips.
  • The red M&M’S add a festive pop of color, making this perfect for holiday or themed parties.
