Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is a delightful no-bake treat combining the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. This easy-to-make candy features layers of creamy milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and gooey caramel, creating a deliciously addictive bark that’s perfect for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 (12 oz) bag Milk Chocolate Chips

Pretzels

  • 8 oz Pretzels (Half of 16 oz Bag)

Caramel Layer

  • 1 (11 oz) bag Kraft Caramels, Unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. This will prevent the bark from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat them in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Spread Chocolate: Spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment-lined baking sheet to form the base layer of the bark.
  4. Layer Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate layer, gently pressing them in to ensure they stick and become embedded.
  5. Melt Caramel: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramels with heavy cream and microwave for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally until the caramel is smooth and pourable.
  6. Drizzle Caramel: Evenly drizzle the melted caramel over the layer of pretzels, adding a sweet, gooey component throughout the bark.
  7. Top with Remaining Chocolate: Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the caramel and pretzel layers to finish the bark and create a visually appealing pattern.
  8. Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is completely set and firm, typically about 1 hour, before breaking into pieces to serve.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh pretzels to ensure crunchiness.
  • Ensure the caramel and chocolate are fully melted and smooth to achieve an even layer and optimal texture.
  • Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
  • Feel free to sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top before chilling for an extra salty contrast.
  • Break the bark into irregular pieces for a rustic look and easier serving.
