Delicious and easy-to-make Oreo Balls featuring crushed Oreo cookies mixed with cream cheese, dipped in melted chocolate, and chilled to create perfect bite-sized treats. These no-bake desserts are ideal for parties, holidays, or anytime you crave a sweet and creamy snack.

Ingredients

Oreo Mixture

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened (226 grams)

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate), chopped (452 grams)

Optional Topping

  • 12 tablespoons reserved Oreo cookie crumbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to keep the Oreo balls from sticking during freezing and dipping.
  2. Crush Oreos: Add the Oreos to a blender or food processor and pulse until you achieve fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a large mixing bowl and reserve 1 to 2 tablespoons for topping if desired.
  3. Mix Cream Cheese and Crumbs: Add softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. Use a handheld mixer to blend the two ingredients until fully combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure even mixing.
  4. Form Balls and Freeze: Scoop out one-tablespoon sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and freeze for at least 20 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Chop the chocolate and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20 to 30 second increments, stirring well after each, until melted smooth.
  6. Dip Oreo Balls: Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate to fully coat. Place the coated balls back on the baking sheet and sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs on top while the chocolate is still wet.
  7. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the coated Oreo balls for at least 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens. Serve chilled and enjoy these delightful treats!

Notes

  • Use cream cheese softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Choose any chocolate type—semi-sweet, milk, or white—to suit your preference.
  • Store Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • For quicker setting, place the Oreo balls in the freezer instead of the refrigerator after dipping.
  • Handle the balls gently to maintain their shape during dipping.
