These fun and festive Monster Cake Pops are perfect for Halloween celebrations. Made by coating mini donuts with colorful melted candy, then decorated with candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and black decorating gel, they are easy to prepare and visually spooky fun treats that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Monster Cake Pops Ingredients

  • 1 cup candy melts (green, purple and/or orange)
  • 24 6- to 7-inch lollipop sticks
  • 24 plain mini donuts and/or donut holes
  • Candy eyeballs, assorted sprinkles and black decorating gel, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Melt the candy melts: Follow the package directions to melt the candy melts until smooth and pourable.
  2. Insert lollipop sticks: Dip each lollipop stick about 1/4- to 1/2-inch into the melted candy melts, then carefully stick it into each mini donut. Place the donuts upside down on a wax paper-covered surface with the sticks pointing up, and allow the candy melt to harden for a few minutes.
  3. Coat the donuts: Dip each donut into the melted candy melts and rotate it to fully coat it. Set the coated donuts upside down on wax paper again and allow the candy melts to harden completely.
  4. Decorate the cake pops: Use candy eyeballs, assorted sprinkles, and black decorating gel to create spooky monster faces and designs on each cake pop once the coating has set.
  5. Serve and store: Enjoy the cake pops immediately for best texture and appearance. You can make them up to 24 hours in advance and store them at room temperature in an airtight container. Avoid refrigeration or freezing to prevent candy melting and cracking.
