Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb garlic sausage ring, sliced

Vegetables

  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cups frozen Brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 large purple onion, cut into chunks
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Seasoning and Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preparation: In a large freezer bag, combine the sliced garlic sausage, diced sweet potato, frozen Brussels sprouts, purple onion chunks, and minced garlic.
  2. Add Seasonings and Sauce: Add the olive oil, Italian seasoning, black pepper, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard to the bag. Seal tightly, removing as much air as possible, then freeze until ready to use.
  3. Thawing: When ready to cook, thaw the contents of the freezer bag completely.
  4. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  5. Arrange Ingredients on Sheet Pan: Empty the thawed contents onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading everything out evenly to ensure even cooking.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 35 minutes, or until the sausage is cooked through and the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve warm for a hearty and flavorful meal.
