These Easy Stuffed Bagel Bites are a delicious and simple treat made with a 4-ingredient dough and stuffed with creamy cream cheese. No boiling or yeast is required, making them a quick alternative to traditional bagels. They bake up golden and fluffy, flavored with Everything But The Bagel seasoning for that classic bakery taste. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a savory snack.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus extra 1/4 cup if dough is too sticky; gluten-free flour optional)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Filling & Topping:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, cut into 8 cubes (about 1½ teaspoons each)
  • 1 egg white, whisked
  • Everything But The Bagel Seasoning, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Make the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and stir with a large spoon until a sticky dough forms that pulls away from the sides of the bowl. If the dough is too sticky, add up to 1/4 cup more flour gradually.
  3. Form the Dough Balls: Lightly flour a work surface and divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Use your hands to roll each piece tightly into a ball to ensure the dough sticks together well.
  4. Stuff the Bagel Bites: Flatten each dough ball to about 1/4 inch thick, then place a cube of cream cheese in the center. Fold the dough over the cream cheese and seal all edges completely to prevent the filling from oozing out during baking. Wet your fingers with hot water and pinch the creases together firmly.
  5. Roll to Seal: Gently roll the stuffed dough balls again with your hands to reinforce the seal and create a smooth surface.
  6. Prepare for Baking: Place the stuffed balls onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush each with the whisked egg white to create a shiny surface, then sprinkle liberally with Everything But The Bagel seasoning.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the bagel bites are golden brown on the outside.
  8. Serve: Transfer the bagel bites to a tray to cool slightly before serving warm. Enjoy as a tasty snack or breakfast option.

Notes

  • You may need to add an extra 1/4 cup of flour if the dough is too sticky while mixing.
  • Gluten-free flour can be substituted for all-purpose flour to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is well sealed inside the dough to avoid leakage during baking.
  • Everything But The Bagel seasoning adds authentic flavor but can be omitted or replaced with other seasonings as desired.
