Apple Delight is a no-bake, layered dessert featuring a crunchy graham cracker crust, a creamy sweetened cream cheese filling, tender apple pie filling, and topped with whipped topping and pecans. This chilled dessert is perfect for gatherings and can be prepared in advance for easy serving.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 7 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 ounce)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container Cool Whip, thawed, divided (16 ounce)
  • 2 cans apple pie filling (21 ounce each)

Topping

  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until crumbs are evenly coated with butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 13×9 inch baking dish to form an even crust. Place the crust in the freezer to chill and harden while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling: In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Gently fold in half of the thawed Cool Whip (8 ounces) until fully incorporated. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the frozen graham cracker crust.
  3. Add the apple layer: Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer, making sure to arrange the apple slices uniformly for a beautiful presentation.
  4. Top with whipped topping: Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top of the apple layer, covering it completely. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  5. Garnish and serve: Just before serving, sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top for added crunch and flavor. Serve the Apple Delight chilled.
