These Air Fryer Salmon Bites are a quick and delicious seafood appetizer or main dish, featuring tender salmon cubes tossed in a zesty lemon garlic butter sauce and perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a crispy exterior and juicy interior.

Ingredients

Salmon Bites

  • 1 pound skinless salmon filet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Season salmon: Place the cubed salmon into a mixing bowl and season evenly with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss gently to coat all pieces with the seasoning.
  2. Add sauce: To the same mixing bowl, pour in the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Toss the salmon cubes thoroughly to ensure each piece is well coated with the lemon garlic butter mixture.
  3. Air fry salmon bites: Line the basket of your air fryer with an air fryer liner to prevent the sauce from dripping through. Arrange the salmon bites along with the sauce in a single layer inside the basket without overcrowding. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes, ensuring the salmon cooks through and develops a slightly crispy exterior. If necessary, cook in two batches to avoid crowding and do not shake the basket during cooking.
  4. Serve: Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a serving dish. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, or use as a topping for salads or macro bowls. Drizzle any remaining lemon garlic butter from the bowl on top for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Use a liner in the air fryer basket to prevent the sauce from dripping and making a mess.
  • Do not overcrowd the salmon pieces in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking; cook in batches if needed.
  • There’s no need to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time for this recipe.
  • This recipe pairs well with leafy green salads, steamed vegetables, or rice bowls.
  • Leftover salmon bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
