7 Layer Bars are a rich, indulgent dessert featuring layers of graham cracker crust, coconut, chocolate and butterscotch chips, nuts, and sweetened condensed milk. They’re quick to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until evenly combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust.
  3. Evenly layer the coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and chopped nuts over the crust.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the layers, making sure it covers everything evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown and the edges are crispy.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely in the dish before cutting them into squares.

Notes

  • Use different chips like peanut butter or white chocolate for variation.
  • Substitute nuts with seeds or more chocolate chips for a nut-free version.
  • Bars can be frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Let bars cool completely before cutting for clean edges.
