Indulge in the simplest yet most delicious Peach Cobbler you’ll ever taste. With just 5 basic ingredients, this recipe guarantees a golden, bubbling dessert that’s a perfect balance of sweet and tangy peach goodness.

Ingredients

For the Cobbler:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 can peaches (15 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place the stick of butter in an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking dish and put it in the oven to melt completely while you prepare the batter.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour, then slowly add the milk, whisking until smooth. The batter should be thick but pourable, with no lumps remaining.
  3. Step 3: Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven. The butter should be completely melted and sizzling. Pour the batter directly over the melted butter—don’t stir! The batter will float on top.
  4. Step 4: Open the can(s) of peaches and pour them with their syrup evenly over the batter. Again, resist the urge to stir. The magic happens as it bakes.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 40-50 minutes, checking at 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling. The batter will rise around the fruit, creating pockets of golden crust and syrupy peach filling.
  6. Step 6: Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. The cobbler will be extremely hot and needs time to set properly for the best texture.
