Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 2 tsp dried chili flakes
- 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp finely minced ginger
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water
- Combine Ingredients: Place all of the ingredients except for the cornstarch mixture in a small saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring.
- Add Cornstarch: Once the sugar has fully dissolved, stir in the cornstarch slurry.
- Thicken Sauce: Keep stirring until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
- Cool and Store: Let cool completely before transferring to a jar. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
