Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Trim any fat from the chicken breasts and place them in the slow cooker.
  2. Make Sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1/4 cup butter, 4 tablespoons hot sauce, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon each of onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Heat until melted, then drizzle over the chicken.

  5. Prepare Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the remaining butter with hot sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Coat Chicken: Pour the sauce over the shredded chicken and mix well.
  7. Serve: Serve the chicken on toasted brioche buns with pickles and ranch dressing.

Notes

  • If not serving on buns, the chicken is versatile and can be used in wraps, nachos, or over rice or mashed potatoes.
  • Adjust the heat level by using more or less hot sauce based on preference.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Slow cooker cooking times may vary, so adjust as needed.
