Delicious and simple honey mustard chicken with the best honey mustard marinade. This paleo honey mustard chicken marinade is sweet, tangy, and an easy way to add moisture and flavor to any cut of chicken!

Ingredients

Chicken Marinade:

  • 1 pound chicken breast or chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons dijon mustard (grainy preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced or grated
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Freshly ground salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix Marinade: In a large bowl, combine honey, dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and coat well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Grill: Preheat grill to 400°F. Grill chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Place chicken on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. Rest & Serve: Rest chicken for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
