Sugar Mixture:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

2 packets Kool-Aid drink mix (any flavor)
2 tablespoons cornstarch (for dusting)
Food coloring (optional, to enhance color)
Instructions
Prepare Sugar Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, water, lemon juice, and salt. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
Cook Sugar Mixture: Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring. Cook until it reaches 260°F (127°C), the hard-ball stage.
