Enjoy the tropical flavors of Hawaii with these delicious Hawaiian Teriyaki Beef Burgers. Juicy beef patties infused with teriyaki sauce, topped with grilled pineapple, caramelized onions, fresh veggies, and sandwiched between toasted buns.

Ingredients

Beef Patties

  • 680 g ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Burger Assembly

  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 pineapple rings, canned or fresh
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato

Instructions

  1. Prepare Beef Patties: In a large bowl, gently combine ground beef with teriyaki sauce, salt, and black pepper. Shape into four equal patties.
  2. Cook Patties: Heat oil in a skillet, cook patties for 4 to 6 minutes per side, glazing with teriyaki sauce in the last 2 minutes.
  3. Grill Pineapple: Grill pineapple rings for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or pan-fry until browned.
  4. Caramelize Onions: Cook sliced red onion with teriyaki sauce until caramelized.
  5. Assemble Burgers: Place patty on bun, top with pineapple, onions, lettuce, and tomato. Serve.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing beef for tender patties.
  • Toasting buns prevents sogginess.
