Green Bean Casserole is a classic holiday side dish with creamy mushroom soup, green beans, and crispy fried onions. Easy to assemble and bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 cans green beans, drained (14.5 oz each)
  • 1 1/2 cups French’s crispy fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare Creamy Mushroom Sauce: Whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Stir in soy sauce and black pepper. Add drained green beans and mix well.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Fold in 1/2 cup of crispy fried onions.
  3. Bake: Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Stir the casserole, then top with remaining fried onions. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Any style of green beans can be used, but French cut is recommended.
  • This casserole can be prepared ahead and frozen. Omit the top layer of fried onions, wrap the dish, and freeze for up to two weeks. Thaw in the refrigerator before baking and topping with fried onions.
