Caramel Apple Pie Bombs are delightful mini-sized desserts that feature dough filled with apple pie filling and caramel, brushed with butter and cinnamon sugar. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for single servings, offering a taste of warm apple pie in a compact form.

Ingredients

For the Bombs:

  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 caramel candies
  • 1 tablespoon butter, plus 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 apples, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

For Topping:

  • Cinnamon sugar, optional

Instructions

  1. To make bombs: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a medium cooking dish with cooking spray
  2. To make Apple Pie Filling:
    1. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter
    2. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; cook until apples are tender, about 5 minutes; set aside
  3. Remove biscuits from the can and stretch slightly
  4. Place 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of the dough circle and one caramel candy on top of the apples
  5. Create a ball by pinching together the loose ends of biscuit dough
  6. Gently roll the ends under into more of a ball shape
  7. Place into the cooking dish and brush with melted butter
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Transfer bombs to a platter and serve
