This Crockpot BBQ Chicken recipe is a simple and delicious way to make tender, flavorful pulled chicken that’s perfect for sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, or nachos. Just toss everything in the slow cooker and let it cook to perfection.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over chicken.

  3. Step 2: Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender.
  4. Step 3: Shred chicken using two forks.
  5. Step 4: Serve on sandwiches, salads, potatoes, or nachos.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on your slow cooker and the thickness of the chicken breasts. Check for doneness by shredding with a fork.
  • For extra flavor, add a can of diced tomatoes, a chopped bell pepper, or a splash of liquid smoke.
  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts for a more flavorful and moist result.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months.
