This easy ravioli sauce is rich, flavorful, creamy, and tomatoey. It’s so delicious and comes together in only 30 minutes. You can use it for non-ravioli pasta dishes as well!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (finely diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅓ cup tomato paste
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken stock

Seasonings:

  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Finishing Touch:

  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and garlic, and cook for 4-5 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent.
  2. Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the chicken stock, diced tomatoes, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Serve with cooked ravioli. Enjoy!
