These easy and delicious breakfast sliders feature savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melty cheese, all sandwiched between soft dinner rolls for a perfect breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients

  • 12 soft dinner rolls
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking sausage)
  • Optional: hot sauce, ketchup, or other condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until fully browned and crumbled, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a separate pan over medium heat, then pour in the egg mixture. Scramble the eggs until they’re fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes. Set the eggs aside.
  4. Slice the dinner rolls in half, keeping them attached, and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked sausage evenly over the bottom buns, followed by the scrambled eggs, and then place the cheese slices on top.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls on the assembled sliders.
  7. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and brush it over the top of the rolls.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the sliders are warm and the cheese has melted.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes to get the tops slightly crispy.
  10. Serve warm with optional condiments like hot sauce or ketchup.

Notes

  • For a healthier twist, swap out the sausage for turkey sausage or a plant-based sausage alternative.
  • Try different cheeses like Swiss, American, or pepper jack for added flavor.
  • Add sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra crunch and flavor.
  • Consider using croissants or English muffins instead of dinner rolls for a different texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  • These sliders are freezer-friendly. Freeze after baking and reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
