Ingredients

Chicken Mixture:

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Stuffing:

  • 6 oz stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter (optional, for topping)

Garnish:

  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. Prepare stuffing: In a saucepan, bring chicken broth and butter to a boil. Stir in stuffing mix, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Combine chicken mixture: In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Layer in baking dish: Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13‑inch baking dish. Top with prepared stuffing, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake: Bake uncovered at 350 °F (175 °C) for 30–35 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and the stuffing is golden.
  6. Rest and garnish: Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
