Ingredients

Dinner Rolls Ingredients:

  • 4 to 5 cups bread flour (500-625g)
  • 2 Tbsp instant yeast (18g)
  • 1/3 cup sugar (65g)
  • 1 tsp salt (5g)
  • 1.5 cups warm milk, 110°F (335ml)
  • 5 Tbsp softened butter (70g)
  • 1 egg (50g)
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter, for brushing (30g)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine 3 cups flour with yeast, sugar, salt, milk, butter, and egg.
  2. Beat the Dough: Mix everything well for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add Flour: Gradually add more flour (1/2 cup at a time) until the dough is soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Rise the Dough: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough and shape it into 24 rolls.
  6. Second Rise: Put the rolls in a greased pan, cover them, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 12–15 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  8. Brush with Butter: Brush the freshly baked rolls with melted butter and serve.
