Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles is a hearty and comforting dish featuring tender, slow-cooked beef tips in a rich sauce, served over egg noodles for a satisfying meal. Perfect for busy nights or cozy weekends, this recipe is a family favorite with deep flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb stew meat (you can bump this up to 2 lbs for a meatier dish)
  • 1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 packet of brown gravy mix
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small can of mushrooms (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 can of beef broth (use the empty cream of mushroom soup can to measure)
  • Egg noodles (cooked separately according to package directions)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Place stew meat, onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, and optional mushrooms in the crockpot. Mix well.
  2. Add the Beef Broth: Fill the empty mushroom soup can with beef broth, then pour into the crockpot and stir.
  3. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.
  4. Cook the Egg Noodles: Cook noodles according to package directions about 15 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Serve noodles topped with beef tips and gravy.

Notes

  • Choosing Beef Cuts: Use beef tips, stew meat, or chuck roast for best results.
  • Browning the Beef: Optional step for added flavor.
  • Cooking Noodles: Cook separately for perfect texture or in the crockpot for more flavor absorption.
  • Thickening the Sauce: Use cornstarch slurry or roux for a richer sauce.
  • Storage and Leftovers: Store in fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with broth if needed.
  • Customizations: Add vegetables or stir in sour cream for variations.
