Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 4 cups Chicken broth (divided use)
  • 2 (16 ounces) Bags frozen pierogies (cheddar or onion)
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded and divided use)
  • 1 pound Smoked Polska kielbasa
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 ounces Block cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1 cup Chicken broth

For Serving:

  • Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients in the Slow Cooker: In a 4–6 quart slow cooker, mix 3 cups of chicken broth, frozen pierogies, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and kielbasa. Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: 30 minutes before serving, warm cream cheese with 1 cup of chicken broth until softened. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Finish the Dish: Add the cream cheese mixture to the slow cooker, top with the remaining cheddar cheese, and cook on low for 30 more minutes.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
