Ingredients
Ramen Ingredients
1 package of instant ramen noodles
1 egg
2 tablespoons kewpie mayonnaise (or any mayonnaise)
1 grated garlic clove
2 cups water
Green onion to serve
Instructions
Boil Noodles: Bring a pot of water to a boil on the stove. Once boiling, add the instant ramen noodles and cook until tender, about 3 minutes.
Prepare Creamy Sauce: While the noodles cook, crack the egg into a bowl, add the mayonnaise, and grate a garlic clove on top. Whisk these ingredients together until well combined to create a creamy base.
Combine Sauce and Noodles: After the noodles are cooked, carefully pour about 1/4 cup of the hot boiling water from the pot into the bowl with the creamy sauce. Whisk to temper and smooth the sauce. Then, add the cooked noodles to the bowl and stir thoroughly to coat the noodles with the creamy mixture.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish the creamy ramen with chopped green onions or your preferred toppings before serving warm.
Notes
Using Kewpie mayonnaise adds a richer, slightly tangy flavor typical in Japanese cuisine, but any mayonnaise works fine.
Adjust the amount of garlic according to your preference for a milder or stronger garlic taste.
Tempering the creamy sauce with a small amount of hot water prevents the egg from scrambling and ensures a smooth texture.
Add other toppings like nori, sesame seeds, or cooked vegetables for extra flavor and nutrition.
Be sure to stir the creamy sauce quickly after adding hot water to avoid lumps.
