A delicious and spicy creamy linguine dish with Cajun flavors, perfect for a cozy dinner for two.

Ingredients

    Linguine:

  • 4 oz. linguine, cooked in boiling salt water
  • Cajun Cream Sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. minced shallot
  • 1 Tbsp. Cajun seasonings
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Garnish:

  • Chopped chives or green onions

Instructions

  1. Boil Linguine: Cook linguine in salted water until al dente, then drain.
  2. Prepare Cajun Cream Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add shallot, garlic, and Cajun seasonings. Stir for a minute. Add white wine and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add lemon juice and cook for another minute. Stir in heavy cream and half and half. Cook for 4-5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat, mix in parmesan and pepper.
  3. Combine and Garnish: Toss cooked linguine in the sauce. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions.

Notes

  • If you prefer more sauce, use 1/2 cup each of half and half and heavy cream.
  • Cajun seasoning is salty, so adjust pepper to taste carefully.
