Crunchy and sweet banana chips made in the air fryer with a cinnamon-sugar coating—ready in minutes and a healthier alternative to store-bought snacks.

Ingredients

  • 23 ripe but firm bananas
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter (or olive oil)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (white or brown)
  • ½1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: a pinch of salt or a spray of lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. Slice bananas thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, toss banana slices with oil (or butter), sugar, and cinnamon until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  5. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove once golden and crisp, and let cool to firm up.

Notes

  • Use slightly ripe but firm bananas for best texture.
  • Optional lemon juice adds brightness and prevents browning.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days.
  • Re-crisp in air fryer at 300 °F for 2–3 minutes if needed.
