This cheesy ground beef pasta skillet is a flavorful one-pot dish that will delight your taste buds. It boasts a rich, savory taste that is bound to satisfy the entire family.

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 2 cups ziti pasta, cooked (see NOTES)

Beef Mixture:

  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, minus 1 minute. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Drain pasta without rinsing.
  2. Prepare Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over high heat, add olive oil and brown ground beef for about 2 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Reduce heat to medium. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in garlic, onions, chili flakes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, parsley, and 1/2 cup of pasta water. Simmer until meat is tender, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Combine: Add cooked pasta and 1 cup of mozzarella to the skillet. Top with the remaining cheese, cover with a lid, and garnish with parsley.
