This easy Stir Fry Sauce Recipe is the best addition to your favorite stir fry dishes. Made with fresh ginger, garlic, and a hint of spice, this versatile sauce is perfect for chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetable stir fry. Customize it to your taste preferences!

Ingredients

Stir Fry Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, sriracha, or sweet chili sauce (optional, for spicy sauce)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients: In a jar or bowl, mix the chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch. Add optional spicy ingredients if desired. Whisk or shake until fully combined.
  2. Store or use immediately: Use the sauce right away or store it in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week.
  3. To make stir fry: Brown your choice of protein in oil, then set aside. Stir fry vegetables until crisp-tender, then return the protein to the pan. Pour in the stir fry sauce and cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Serve over rice.

Notes

  • To make this sauce gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce, tamari, or coconut aminos.
  • For a vegan version, substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth and maple syrup for honey.
  • This recipe yields approximately 1 cup of sauce.
