Ingredients
For the Gravy:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons dried crushed rosemary
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons kosher salt, to taste
4 cups turkey or chicken stock (32 ounces)
1 cup entwine Chardonnay
Instructions
Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour, herbs, pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add Wine: While whisking, pour wine into the roux. Whisk until it thickens, about a minute.
Add Stock: While whisking, add chicken stock until smooth. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve: Enjoy your delicious gravy!
Notes
If using salted butter, reduce salt by 1/2 teaspoon initially. Adjust salt based on taste.
Gravy can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat gently.
For a non-alcoholic option, use white grape juice or chicken stock instead of Chardonnay.
