Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • 1 ½ pounds beef chuck or flank steak, sliced against the grain

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Additional:

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • Cooked white rice (for serving)
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: Add beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, and sesame oil to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  2. Cook the Beef: Add the beef to the slow cooker and coat with the sauce mixture. Cook on low for 4-5 hours until tender.
  3. Thicken the Sauce: Mix cornstarch and water, then add to the slow cooker. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Add Broccoli: Place broccoli in the slow cooker, cover, and cook for 20-30 minutes until tender.
  5. Serve: Serve beef and broccoli over white rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
