These Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos are a delightful and healthier alternative to the popular Bonefish Grill dish. With crispy shrimp coated in a creamy and spicy sauce, topped with a zesty coleslaw and fresh pico de gallo, these tacos are a flavor explosion you’ll want to enjoy over and over again.

Ingredients

Coleslaw:

  • 397 g package coleslaw mix
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Bang Bang Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 2 cups cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup light mayo
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • Salt to taste

Additional:

  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 container pico de gallo, store-bought
  • 4 tbsp avocado oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Coleslaw: Combine coleslaw mix, vinegar, sugar, oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bang Bang Shrimp: Mix light mayo, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha. Fry shrimp coated in cornstarch until crispy. Toss fried shrimp in Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Assemble Tacos: Warm tortillas, add coleslaw, shrimp, pico de gallo, and cilantro. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Nutritional info is for 1/4 of the shrimp in 3 corn tortillas with fillings.
  • Customize toppings with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa.
