Ingredients
Spaghetti:
8 oz (225 g) spaghetti
Cream Cheese Sauce:
4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole or 2%)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
¼ tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
Time: 5 minutes
Cook Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until just al dente (it will finish cooking in the oven). Drain and set aside.
Time: 8 minutes
Sauté Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Time: 4 minutes
Make Cream Cheese Sauce: Reduce heat to low and add the cream cheese and milk to the skillet. Whisk until the cream cheese melts and forms a smooth sauce. Stir in Parmesan, half of the mozzarella, salt, and pepper until combined.
Time: 5 minutes
Combine & Assemble: In a large bowl, toss the drained spaghetti with the cream cheese sauce. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella evenly on top.
Time: 5 minutes
Bake Until Golden: Bake uncovered until the cheese is melted and lightly golden, about 20 minutes.
Time: 20 minutes
Rest & Garnish: Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
