Indulge in the creamy goodness of Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti. This comforting dish features a luscious cream cheese sauce baked to perfection with spaghetti and a blend of cheeses.

Ingredients

Spaghetti:

  • 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti

Cream Cheese Sauce:

  • 4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.

    Time: 5 minutes

  2. Cook Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until just al dente (it will finish cooking in the oven). Drain and set aside.

    Time: 8 minutes

  3. Sauté Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

    Time: 4 minutes

  4. Make Cream Cheese Sauce: Reduce heat to low and add the cream cheese and milk to the skillet. Whisk until the cream cheese melts and forms a smooth sauce. Stir in Parmesan, half of the mozzarella, salt, and pepper until combined.

    Time: 5 minutes

  5. Combine & Assemble: In a large bowl, toss the drained spaghetti with the cream cheese sauce. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella evenly on top.

    Time: 5 minutes

  6. Bake Until Golden: Bake uncovered until the cheese is melted and lightly golden, about 20 minutes.

    Time: 20 minutes

  7. Rest & Garnish: Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

    Time: 5 minutes
