Apple Crisp Pizza is a delightful dessert that combines the flavors of a classic apple crisp with the fun presentation of a pizza. The buttery pie crust serves as the base for a layer of tender spiced apples, topped with a crunchy oat crumble and a drizzle of decadent caramel. This recipe is perfect for autumn gatherings, holiday parties, or simply satisfying a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Base & Apple Filling:

  • 1 dough for a single-crust pie
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 medium baking apples, peeled and sliced (½-inch slices)

Crumb Topping:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter, softened

Finishing Touch:

  • ¼ to ½ cup caramel ice cream topping or caramel apple dip

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust into a ¼-inch thick round and place on a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Toss with apple slices until well coated.
  4. Arrange apple slices evenly over the crust.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle topping over apples.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden and apples are tender.
  8. Let cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel topping.
  9. Slice like a pizza and serve warm (optional with ice cream).

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped pecans to the topping.
  • Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispness.
  • Use gluten-free pie dough and oats for a gluten-free version.
